Impact of clay modifier on structure, thermal, mechanical and transport properties in polyurethane/Maghnite nanocomposites as barrier materials

چکیده
A thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) nanocomposite was synthesized based on Maghnite as an inorganic reinforcement phase. The result of this study to evaluate the gas barrier properties a material containing clay nanoparticles. preparation prepolymer with NCO terminations carried out using in situ solution polymerization method. has already been modified by intercalation 12-amino decanoic acid molecules NH2(CH2)11COOH (12-Mag). polyethylene glycol/tolylene matrix 2,4-diisocyanate (PEG/TPI) widely compatibilized 12-Maghnite organo-modified clay. results obtained XRD, transmission and scanning electron microscopy (TEM SEM) revealed that 1% (by weight) well dispersed matrix. Thermogravimetric (TG) tests showed nanocomposites could improve thermal stability. permeability examined means membrane separation device.
